‘Design for Social Change 2013', is an online poster design
competition by Pakistan Youth Alliance

About:
Bringing an opportunity for aspiring Digital Artist/Designers to explore and challenge their surroundings through their artwork, which can make youth introspect.

Description:
- What can a design do? We believe a design can become a necessary link between creativity & innovation; turning an idea into value. Hence a powerful tool which enables to influence mindsets, creating habits which inturn can instigate social change!

- Entrants are allowed to create or work around any existing social themes/issues. For example; Coexistence, Justice, Education, Interfaith Harmony, Poverty, Illiteracy, Terrorism, Child Abuse, Drug Abuse, Foreign Debt etc.

- The project is not for gain and is coordinated by an independent team of volunteers.

Contest Contributors:
- The competition is open both to design students and to professionals, without age limit.
- Entry to the competitions is restricted to one entry per person.

Prize Structure:
- 10,000 PKR will be given to the winner selected by the jury.

Judging Criteria:
- Top 15 Posters will be selected via Facebook Likes.
- After that, ONE poster will be selected by a group of renowned Digital Artists.

Scope:
– Web Gallery on Facebook and Tumblr.

Submission Specification:

- A3, 300dpi, PDF file with no bleed
- A3 72dpi, PNG file, non-interlaced with no bleed.
- Make sure you write your Name as a subject of the email.
- Add the title and small description in the email body copy.

Schedule:
- Contest Starts on 8th July, 2013.- 5 August, 2013 / Poster submission deadline

Mail your submissions to:
- Send your entries on DesignForChange2013@gmail.com (up to 6MB) or send a transfer link via Dropbox or Google Drive to the same address for larger files.

Deadline:
5 August. No late submissions can/will be accepted.

Copyrights:
- You acknowledge that all works submitted is yours and you own all rights to it.
- “Pakistan Youth Alliance” cannot take any responsibility for any copyright infringements or misrepresentations made by persons submitting work to this project.
- The entries should not have any kind of name, logo, or watermark on it.
- This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook.
- Decisions of the judges will be final and binding on all matters.
- If any entry fails to comply with these rules, that entry will be disqualified.
